1. Today we've released a new feature. When a photo is posted successfully, you'll now receive a confirmation email. The email will contain the link of the photo you posted and encourage to come back to check for ratings and comments.  Also, it's a great way to share the link easily right from your email.

2. Now photos will automatically post to twitter as soon as they are posted. No waiting to share your link via @photoshakedown. All photos are still under close watch. We plan to add a "Report" button for inappropriate content.

Also, there is a rumor about iPhone 3.0 software will have the ability to email multiple photos at once and this makes me real excited. So coming soon will be the support of multiple photo uploads right from your iPhone.

So far we have 256 Polaroids uploaded to the site by fellow ShakeItPhoto lovers! And I think this is a huge success, and we'd like to celebrate! Currently we have a few new features lined up that will be released soon and were even brainstorming some ideas for contests and prizes.

Also in case you missed it we've been working on adding some features to the full version of PhotoShakeDown.com for you PC/Mac users that still looking at the latest hot Polaroids that our users submit.

Simply visit: http://photoshakedown.com and scroll down to the "Latest Polaroids," and click on see more. (Notice: iPhone users will NOT be able to see this page.) That will take you to the Wall Of Polaroids!

This is still a work in progress and it doesn't contain all the features like commenting/rating/tweeting that the iPhone version has, been it always has the latest 150 polaroids.

Well I thought we would start up this blog so you guys can keep up with site news and updates. It's also a great site to have incase the server/twitter goes down for some reason. The plan is to run contests and give away some prices for participating on the site. So incase you just found this site, here is an explanation of what your seeing:

PhotoShakeDown.com is the most recent project I’ve been working on in my spare time between jobs. It is a user submitted iPhone web gallery where users submit their best ShakeItPhoto polaroids for other iPhone lovers to see. Post, Rate & Browse all from your iPhone.

Explain what this site can do!

You can post, browse or search through tons of polaroid photos. You have the option to click through the pictures one by one, or even browse the site by looking at tons of thumbnails. People can rate your photo and leave comments without even having to sign up.

How do I start posting my best polaroids?

Simply email your photos from your iPhone to post@photoshakedown.com. After a quick moderation they will be posted!

Now if you already have a posterous and you post your ShakeItPhoto Polaroids here, all you have to do is add post@photoshakedown.com along with your post@posterous.comand you can post both at the same time, in two different places! 

Cool Features:

Search - Looking for a certain photo? You can search by title keywords!

Tweet Photos - Find a photo you really like and want to share? Hit the “tweet this” button, login into Twitthis and it automatically posts it to your timeline and shortens the URL.

Browse - Don’t like looking through the photos one by one? Don’t worry, hit browse in the menu bar and scroll through pages of polaroids.

Share - Don’t have a twitter account but want to share a photo? Click your (+) button in your safari browser and hit “mail link to this page.” Then email it off to anyone.

RSS - Subscribe to Photo Shake Down in your favorite RSS reader.

Comments - Love a photo? Leave a comment, just put your name, email and comment and thats it! No sign-up required!

Rate - Rate each photo and then go to the ratings page and see which photos are the top rated photos or worst rated photos.
