We've Doubled In Size!

It was just a little over a month ago that we had hit 1,000 Polaroids! If you do the math, that is about 30-35 postings a day, and the photos just keep getting better and better. It seems that everyone is enjoying the new sweet features that ShakeItPhoto released in version 1.1. I would highly suggest watching Nick Campbell's video demonstration about it!

A Challenge To You...

You guys uploaded 1,000 photos in a little over a month? Do you think you guys could beat that record? Could you? I double dog dare you! Happy Posting!

First, I want to point out the new website header. The top bar that says "Buy ShakeItPhoto For 99 Cents" is a direct link to ShakeItPhoto in the app store. The large PhotoShakeDown banner will now take you to the homepage of the site.

Second, next to the title of the image there is now a ticker recording the number of views for each photo uploaded.

Third, now there is thumbnail navigation below the photo being viewed. This shows you a preview of the two next and previous photos. The current photo will always have a gold border.

Fourth, on the "Upload" page is now a simple newsletter sign-up field. Enter your email and sign up for our special news, contests, blog postings and new site features such as this. After hitting submit, you will get a confirmation emai with an activation link!

Rejoice, for the update has come!
Today, the ShakeItPhoto 1.1 update was finally released into the wild fixing a few bugs and adding one awesome feature. The ability to take any photo from your library and polarize it. ( Thank you Nick Campbell! ) Also because of this feature, iPod Touch users can now share in the fun of polarizing their favorite photos. I'm sure this will open the door for even more awesome photos and postings!

Also, we are very close to releasing the ability to post multiple photos at once as well as a few little bug fixes. Please shoot over any suggestions or feedback you have for the site.

Anyways, it's been real exciting to see all the sweet photos being posted that had been taken with the sweet 3GS iPhone camera. I personally can't wait til I get to upgrade. Thanks for everyone that is posting and making the site what it is! We have more gift cards coming up!

Now, below the next photo button, there is now a field to type in a friend or family's email address so you can send them the link of the polaroid you are currently looking at on PhotoShakeDown.

How To Use It
Go below the photo that you want to share, type in the email address you want to send to. Then hit the "Go" button on the web page ( Not on the keyboard ). Immediately your mail app will pop up with a pre-composed email! Add a special message if you want, and then hit send! And off it goes!

If for some reason the feature is giving you trouble, please let us know!

1000 Polaroids Posted!
This is huge and we are so excited. But we really couldn't do it with all you photographers out there. Over the weekend we reached 1,000 uploads! (And the crowd goes wild!)
