In other news...the maker of ShakeItPhoto is coming out with a new iPhone app really really soon! So we need your feedback. Should we create a new iPhone community web gallery for the soon to be released app? You can comment on this blog posting or shoot us an email at info@photoshakedown.com.

In celebration of hitting 4,000 polaroid photos posted by you hardcore ShakeItPhoto fans we are having a themed contest! Best photo receives a $50 iTunes gift card which will be judged by Nick Campbell, who is the designer of the app, and myself!

The theme is "Family." It's the holiday season and it's time to get your best/funniest family shots! This can be you and your mate, cousins, uncle or even your crazy grandma! The more creative the shot is, the bigger chance you'll win! Contest will run for two weeks.

We've Doubled In Size!

It was just a little over a month ago that we had hit 1,000 Polaroids! If you do the math, that is about 30-35 postings a day, and the photos just keep getting better and better. It seems that everyone is enjoying the new sweet features that ShakeItPhoto released in version 1.1. I would highly suggest watching Nick Campbell's video demonstration about it!

A Challenge To You...

You guys uploaded 1,000 photos in a little over a month? Do you think you guys could beat that record? Could you? I double dog dare you! Happy Posting!

 

Rejoice, for the update has come!
Today, the ShakeItPhoto 1.1 update was finally released into the wild fixing a few bugs and adding one awesome feature. The ability to take any photo from your library and polarize it. ( Thank you Nick Campbell! ) Also because of this feature, iPod Touch users can now share in the fun of polarizing their favorite photos. I'm sure this will open the door for even more awesome photos and postings!

Also, we are very close to releasing the ability to post multiple photos at once as well as a few little bug fixes. Please shoot over any suggestions or feedback you have for the site.

Are You A Regular Poster?
With the new 3.0 iPhone update Apple released, you now have the ability to tap and hold on a email address located on a web page and it will give you the option to "Create New Contact." Use this to your advantage. Go to the upload page on PhotoShakeDown, tap and hold on the post@photoshakedown.com email address. A menu will pop up and then hit, "Create New Contact." Put in PhotoShakeDown as the name or company, and add one of your personal ShakeItPhoto polaroids as the contact photo to make it look pretty! This way, when your addressing an email to us, just start to type photo, and our address will show up first! Simple as pie!

Anyways, it's been real exciting to see all the sweet photos being posted that had been taken with the sweet 3GS iPhone camera. I personally can't wait til I get to upgrade. Thanks for everyone that is posting and making the site what it is! We have more gift cards coming up!

Add Quick Access To P.S.D!
Add a pretty little icon to your iPhone home screen for quick access to PhotoShakeDown.com. Don't know how to do it?

Instructions:

1. Go to the http://photoshakedown.com/m/ on your iPhone.

2. Hit the "+" sign in your safari web browser.

3. Hit  the "Add to Home Screen" button.

4. Name the icon what ever you want and hit add!

Now that your icon has been put on your home screen, move it right next to ShakeItPhoto. Awwww, how cute!

1000 Polaroids Posted!
This is huge and we are so excited. But we really couldn't do it with all you photographers out there. Over the weekend we reached 1,000 uploads! (And the crowd goes wild!)
